Enrolling your dog:

Step 1: Trial day

A trial day is a full day daycare assessment. You will drop your dog off with us in the morning

and we will spend the day getting to know your dog, their comfort levels, and how they do in

a daycare setting.

Step 2: Recommendation

Once your dog completes a trial day, we will provide you with 1 of 3 options;

  1. Joining daycare. Your dog has shown us that they will enjoy the daycare environment and is welcomed into the program!

  2. Day training. If your dog shows us that they’re not yet ready to join daycare, we will offer specific day training options with the goal of setting your dog up for success in daycare.

  3. Other. As much as we would love to see every dog thrive in daycare, sometimes it’s not meant to be. Our goal is to ensure every dog is confident and successful in our daycare program. Some dogs are not made for said environments, and that’s okay! While we may recommend against our daycare program, there are other options we can discuss with you to help both you and your dog.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I look for in a dog daycare facility?
When choosing a dog daycare, look for a facility that balances fun, safety, and structure. Ideally, the staff have a dog training background with education in healthy dog socialization. The facility should have both indoor and outdoor space, ensuring dogs get social time, fresh air, and exercise in an appropriate environment.

What is a typical day like for dogs in daycare?
Throughout the day, daycare dogs are rotated between social groups, enrichment/training sessions, and nap time. Dogs begin by resting on a bed or in their crate during AM drop-off time so they can start the day in a healthy headspace! They then transition to social time to reconnect with their friends, get some beans out and enjoy the fresh air. Once the dogs are fulfilled socially and physically, they move into enrichment time! This time is spent one on one with a trainer working on agility games, learning tricks, figuring out food puzzles, or playing with a toy! After that, they're pretty tired and ready for another nap.
This schedule repeats itself into the afternoon so dogs can rest, reset, and play with friends again!

What is Day Training and how is it different from daycare?
Day training is a training program where your dog works on specific training goals. Daycare is a program for your dog to make friends and maintain good manners. Day training dogs receive multiple structured training sessions throughout the day along with social sessions - depending on their program.
Have specific training goals you'd like to achieve while your dog is here? Day Training can help! Want your dog to have a good time while maintaining good manners? Daycare is the place to be!
